About Vision Therapy
Basically, the human visual system is dominant, dynamic and developed. Visual system disorders impact daily performance and information acquisition (both processing and execution) in significant ways.
My professional medical sub-specialty concentrates on correcting the negative effects of many undetected (and/or misdiagnosed) visual system deficiencies. These abnormalities negatively affect the way people see, think, process, learn, respond, act and/or react. In many cases, these symptoms result in people being "labeled". My professional training and experience in this area of specialization far exceeds what my colleagues can gain in the context of a busy, traditional optometric practice, and this is why we have enjoyed so many referrals from other optometric and related therapy-based practices around the area.
On this web site, you can visit the SVS Online Archives to learn much more about vision development and therapy. To understand better the components of good vision, check out our version of the Skeffington Diagram.
